As a specialized body authorized by the Ministry of Education to carry out verifications of Higher Education Qualification Certificates, CHESICC, based on the Database for National Higher Education Qualification Certificates Information, the data of which have been collected since 1991 and have been managed under the authorization of the Ministry of Education, formally launched verification services in January 2002. After verification is done, the system will produce an Inquiry Report of Higher Education Qualification Certificates (Verification Report), which is then electronically registered for online inquiry.
Verifications cover diplomas or certificates of postgraduates, regular and vocational training course graduates, adult higher learning courses, self-taught examinations, national diploma examinations and Internet-based education.
Both CHESICC and its authorized agencies accept applications for verifications, provide qualification verifications for job seeking, going abroad, going to a higher school and diploma loss, issue and print Inquiry Report of higher education qualification certificates, in uniform format and sequentially numbered, and provide online inquiries and verifications.
This service follows a unified verification process, report and online verification.
Unified verification process: to facilitate students’ application for verification reports, CHESICC authorized agencies in 22 provinces and HK SAR throughout the country and also set up two oversea agencies in Australia and South Korea. These agencies all use a unified “online office system”, has a unified process of application, preliminary check, review, printing, and online publishing. Moreover, it has a unified management and monitoring system.
Unified verification report: For verified and approved certificates, CHESICC issues a unified printed and numbered “China Higher Education Qualification Report”, which not only can be printed with anti-counterfeiting technology, but also can be verified online, with a double anti-counterfeiting function. If the certificates are “non- qualification education” or “fake”, CHESICC will issue a report of unrecognized qualification. This report can also been printed with anti-counterfeiting technology, but can NOT be verified online. If the applicant has any doubt, he may apply for a second review.
Unified online verification: The report can be verified on China Higher-education Student Information Website, which is the only designated inquiry website.
